Dr. Carolyn Kochert

American Board of Pain Medicine | American Association of Orthopedic Medicine

Dr. Carolyn Kochert has been empowering her patients to take charge of their health at her Lafayette, Indiana, practice for more than 34 years. Her focus is on helping her patients change from the inside out by providing treatments that help them look, feel, and function at their best.

Dr. Kochert has been drawn to medicine ever since she was a child. She learned from her mother, who believed in the natural treatment of health issues. Dr. Kochert decided to pursue a career helping people and forming patient relationships.

After receiving her medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Dr. Kochert interned at St. Vincent Hospital Center, also in Indianapolis.

Then, she completed an Anesthesiology residency at IUMC. After 15 years of practicing Anesthesia, Dr. Kochert decided to focus her medical career on pain therapy, which allowed her to have the direct patient-doctor relationship she craved. She then opened her private practice in 1999.

As a board-certified member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Board of Pain Medicine, and the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine, Dr. Kochert stays up-to-date with the latest treatments in her field, especially regenerative procedures, such as stem cell therapy and PRP therapy. She also maintains staff privileges at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.

Dr. Kochert and her husband Frank are the proud parents of six children, 3 sons-in-law, and 5 grandchildren.
